1:1 Health Coaching

This is my favourite method of working with you, it gives us the opportunity to dig deep into the areas of your health and wellness that need some attention whether that is depression, psoriasis, poor immune function, weight loss or IBS. I will work closely with you in the areas you feel you need guidance to help you build a strong foundation of mental and physical well-being that is going to support not only your body but your mind as well.

What you get in a personalised three month program:

  • Two 45 minute sessions per month

  • A full set of notes and suggestions after each session

My role as your Integrative Nutrition Health Coach is to guide, mentor, empower and provide you with ongoing support as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach I will listen carefully to your needs and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together and explore what truly works for you.


 

Here are some concepts we will explore during our work together:

Primary Food

This is all about the different ways we nourish ourselves outside of what we put in our mouth, as it is not just about the food we eat that affects our physical (and more importantly) mental health. Together we will look at creating balance in the following areas of your life:

  • Gut health

  • Having a fulfilling career

  • Regular physical activity

  • Spirituality

  • Passions & Joy

When these primary foods are nourished, what you eat becomes secondary and you will notice that emotional eating and cravings diminishing. I will support you in achieving your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.

 

 

Bio-IINdividuality

The concept of Bio-individuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. Although all of my recipes are vegan, gluten free, low carb, no sugar and keto I feel it is important to remove all labels from ourselves, by doing this it really frees us up to move and flow with life and all its changes so we truly learn to listen to our bodies and what it is asking for. “One diet fits all” is not my mantra, what your body needs will be very different to anyone else.

 

 

Integrative Nutrition Plate

The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasises the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasises the importance of proportions and portion

size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods (and those all important super-foods) on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body! My approach is that we are all different, and by getting to know you we will figure out together the best way of eating to suit you.

 

 

Crowding Out

Many nutrition experts give their clients a list of foods to avoid and foods to eat (of course I am happy to provide this) but my approach is a little different – by eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will crowd out the unhealthy foods in your diet. I understand that giving up your favourite cakes and cookies might seem like a huge challenge but with my recipes and healthy treat swaps it wont be long until you will be enjoying an increase in energy, stabilised moods, clearer skin and clearer focus.

 

 

Deconstructing Cravings

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony, the sugar that used to have control of you will be but a quiet whisper in the background.
